Densetsu no Stafi 2 (GBA)

After playing Hide and Seek with some small turtles (or whatever they are), it was time to move on to killing the boss at the end of World 3. It was a thing riding a giant moth. Like the previous bosses, it was pretty easy, and I was soon onto World 4, which is Ice World. So lots of falling ice spikes and slippy floors.

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (GBA)

Hmm. Some of the flaws are starting to show in this game now. The map isn’t as easy to navigate as in Circle of the Moon, especially in the way that there are rooms which serve no purpose than to slow you down. No baddies, no spikes, just a poorly laid out room to navigate. They’re not hard, just annoying. Then there’s the structure of the bosses. You don’t seem to have to do them all in a specific order, …

Serious Sam: Next Encounter (GC)

There’s a pattern emerging in this game. Collect the item with the big yellow arrow above it, and you get attacked by a million baddies all at once. Anyway. I managed to get through all of Rome, killing a huge thing with loads of arms, and then moved on to China. I wasn’t aware that much of China was actually in the desert, but that’s where most of this level has taken place so far. The baddies are much the …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Into the Plane of Oblivion! I didn’t bother with the gate to Kvatch this time, and instead headed through the Oblivion Gate and into the Plane of Oblivion. There were a few pretty easy-to-kill baddies inside, and a soldier on my side, who tried to run away. I convinced him to stay and help, but he managed to get himself killed fairly quickly anyway. Tch. There was a huge tower to enter, and more baddies inside – some of which …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Attempt number two at killing the marauders ended somewhat better than the first time, not least because the one that kept shooting fireballs at me kept hitting the floor with them instead of me (I was hiding down some steps), and so I kept shooting arrows at him. After that, and after raiding the bodies, I left the fort and headed back to Imperial City. Found loads of mushrooms on the way, so picked them. It was the middle of …

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (GC)

I’m really, really getting annoyed with this game now. Mainly the bugs (more on one of them in a bit), but also with the irritating way you have to redo large sections of the game for a second, and even third time. Even more if you count the Past and Present “versions” of areas. Who decided that would be a good idea? So a minor couple of bugs at first. Well, I say minor, but they’re actually game destroying fall-in-pit-don’t-die-quit …

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (GC)

Finally managed to get past the Bugged Spikey Pits of Oblivion on my way out of the Clockwork Tower (although I did fall in once, and again, couldn’t get out). Got back to the Central Hall, and the woman in red gave me another sword. Then it was off to the other tower – the Water Tower. First, it was through some area with hanging gardens in it. I was stuck there for a while trying to figure out how …

Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox)

With nothing else to do on Yavin (not Yarin, as I said yesterday), I left and went to Kashyyyk. Or however you spell it. Once there, it made sense to have my Wookiee, Zaalbar, in my party, what with it being Wookieeworld and all. It seems the Czerka Corporation is selling Wookiees off as slaves, and Zaalbar’s brother (chieftain of the Wookiee village) is allowing it. Tch. So, lots done here. Found the village, went into the “Shadowlands” on the …
